Tomato Dosa


3 teaspoon toor daal 
4 medium chopped tomato 
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion 
4 washed & dried red chilli 
1 handful curry leaves 
2 teaspoon coriander seeds 
1 pinch asafoetida 
1/2 inch peeled ginger 
1 teaspoon salt 
4 tablespoon refined oil 
1 cup idli rice 

 How to make Tomato Dosa :

STEP 1 Soak the rice and dal for 1 hour together.
STEP 2 Add the tomatoes, red chillies, curry leaves, coriander seeds, asafoetida powder, ginger                and salt. Grind to a coarse batter. 
STEP 3 Add onions and keep aside for 1 hour to ferment. 
STEP 4 Heat a tawa over medium flame. Pour a ladleful of the batter and spread evenly. 
STEP 5 Apply oil around the edges and cook on both sides. 
STEP 6 Once cooked, transfer to a serving plate and serve hot with coconut chutney.
